“Knotty” Tree

I am very inspired by the time I spend hiking and the unique textures I find amongst the forest. I use hiking as a way of finding solitude and calm. I came across this area of trees in an Indiana state forest in spring of 2020. In my observation, they looked female genitalia. I was fascinated with the unique texture and formations of these trees and the resemblance they had. I had never come across a cluster of trees like these and that is why I wanted to add this to my body of work.
