Driftwood

I am inspired by driftwood seen washed up on streams and beaches. This driftwood in particular is inspired by the driftwood I have seen on a beach in northern California. It was a burl and I was amazed by the way the wood grain twists and turned and the light gray and green coloring it gave off. The metallic finish is included to add a bit of an industrial aspect to it as there were nails and staples that were emerging from the driftwood.
