Chanterelle mushrooms are one of the artist favorite mushrooms to forage in the summer. They are a vibrant orange color among the forest floor and like to grow near beech trees. She created this series because she wanted whomever cherishes one of them to feel like they are right there with her, looking for these little orange flower-like dots in the forest floor, surrounded by the gray bark of the beech trees.
